There is little doubt that both hard and soft alveolar ridge augmentation is a vital part of contemporary implant dentistry. However, how much bone and gingiva is required for long term success and can this be achieved with less invasive techniques than we have traditionally used? This lecture looks at maximising what we have and contemporary techniques for alveolar augmentation for various scenarios.
