This day is aimed at igniting your enthusiasm and love for removable prosthodontics, showing how we can change our patients’ lives with beautifully made dentures. In this one day seminar Finlay will present his methods and techniques used to deliver dentures with superb aesthetics and optimal function. Finlay will cover complete dentures, partial dentures and implant retained dentures. This day is designed for all experiences of dentists, prosthodontists, clinical dental technicians, dental technicians, dental nurses and other interested members of the dental team. It will be a practical and clinically useful presentation; illustrated with photographs and videos showing how Finlay and his dental technician, Rowan Garstang, produce the following types of removable dentures exhibiting superb form and function;

1. Complete dentures, 2. Partial dentures and 3. Implant supported dentures

Aims, Objectives and Anticipated Outcomes> Have improved understanding of state-of-the-art complete denture, partial denture and implant supported denture construction.> Have increased understanding of impression techniques and accurate recording of centric relation with gothic arch tracing.> Learn how to maximise complete denture retention and stability.> Have improved ability to make dentures look like beautiful natural teeth.> Learn how to use attachments such as Locators® in the best way.> Learn how to make dentures fit implants and the supporting soft tissues properly.> To see the construction methods and function of partial dentures which work like removable bridges, protecting the periodontium of compromised abutment teeth.> To appreciate that well designed and well-made removable dentures are a valid alternative to implant supported restorations.  > To learn a system of partial denture design which anticipates future abutment failure allowing artificial tooth additions onto cobalt chromium minor connectors of the denture at a later date.> Have improved patient outcomes with patients through enhanced clinical techniques and patient management. > Have improved understanding of metal reinforcement to strengthen the dentures.  > Have improved communication with the dental technician.
