All these videos were filmed at the digital dental symposium in 2016 in London UK and covered different aspects of digital dentistry.

Lectures 1 and 2. The digital workflow in implant dentistry by Dr Colin Campbell and Dr Craig Parker

Aims and objectives of lectures 1 and 2

  • Understanding digital impressions in study models
  • The role of cone beam CT and digital treatment planning
  • Understanding computer-assisted implant placement,
  • CAD/CAM restorations.
  • Explain accuracy and reliability of digital impressions
  • Understanding different five types in the digital workflow
  • Accuracy and reliability of guides and understanding sources of error
  • Understand the concept of the sleeve to tolerance in digital plan

Lectures 3 and 4. Speaking the Same Language. A Powerful Digital Workflow Between Dentists and Laboratories

In this series, Dr Daniel Vasquez and his lab technician Dr Frankie Costa discussed the workflow between his surgery and the lab using digital elements. The aims and objectives of this series are to be inserted

Lectures 5, 6 and 7. Indirect vs Direct Restorations in this digital age

As part of this playlist Dr Nik Sethi and Dr Alif Moosajee discussed the mertis and demerits of indirect vs direct restorations and the role of digital dentistry in these.

In these 3 talks the following is covered

Lecture 5. Indications for cuspal coverage by Dr Nikhil Sethi

Aims and objectives:

  • Advantages of direct composite for cuspal coverage.
  • Virtues of direct composite over indirect, only direct composite engineering principles for large cavities
  • Key points and benefits of composites in large cavities, Wear cases
  • Comparison with Indirect restorations.

Lecture 6. Milling and filling by Dr Alif Moosajee

Aims and objectives to be inserted

Lecture 7. Direct Composite Cuspal Coverage vs Mill or Fill in the Digital Age by Dr Nikhil Sethi and Dr Alif Moosajee

Aims and objectives to be inserted

Lecture 8. CEREC Demo by Frankie O Costa

In this video Frankie O Costa provides a demonstration of CEREC and InLab

Lecture 9. CEREC - My first year by Dr Harmeet Grewal

In this lecture Doctor Harmeet Grewal talks about his journey through his first year in CEREC. He provides an introduction to the CEREC system and the benefits to patients and clinicians. He gives a CEREC workflow and a great introduction to the software.

Lecture 10.  Digital Smile Design by Dr Jameel Gardee

In this lecture, Dr. Jameel Gardee explains Digital Smile Design.

Aims and Objectives of lecture 10

  • To understand the stages of Digital Smile Design.
  • The benefits of Digital Smile Design case acceptance and consent and the workflow of Digital Smile Design.
  • Dr Jameel Gardee also explains how this can be used in daily practice and the advantages of using video in Digital Smile Design.
  • This lecture explains how we include function, when do we in cruise two types versus when to consider ground lengthening and what lines to draw when planning the Digital Smile Design. This is a very useful lecture for everyone

Lecture 11. The Digital Occlusal connection by Ian Buckle

Details to be added

Lecture 12. The Smile Designer

Dr Imad Ghandour explains the limitation of traditional methods of planning and how his own lab work was not meeting students using conventional methods and therefore, his frustrations. In this lecture, Dr Ghandour explains how you can use various digital tools and how to insert digital smile design to enhance the dentist lab communication now to get positive patient outcomes.

He gives the five steps to his digital workflow and digital planning and what parameters to take in order to get a good outcome. He uses a study case with interaction in this video, very useful for those who wish to go through and understand the digital design process.

Lectures 13 and 14. Views from the lab

In lecture 13 Tony Knight gives an overview of the lab

In lecture 14 Stephen Green provides the lab digital workflow
