This series of videos was filmed as part of the Implants in the Aesthetic Zone Masterclass with the QMUL faculty in November 2015, with Dr Shakeel Shahdad (UK and Ireland ITI chair), Dr Mital Patel, Dr Nikos Mardas , Dr Claudia Wellman and the QMUL Faculty. It consists of 4 parts
Part 1. Planning and extraction
This video demonstrates the extraction technique used to autraumatically extract an upper central incisor and the planning stages for placing a dental implant in the high critical aesthetic zone. This video is very helpful for those who place implants in the aesthetic zone to ensure that the critical aspects are looked after.
Part 2. Live surgery
Part 2 which is the livesurgery of the implant placement. Dr Shahdad via commentary shows how he places the implant in the aesthetic zone, including the critical factors in flap design to minimise recession and scarring, the critical factors for the optimal 3-dimensional placement of the implant, and the important tips in ensuring a successful GBR procedure. Lots of beneficial tips for those practitioners placing implants in the aesthetic zone.
Part 3. Guided Bone Regeneration and flap design techniques
This is Part 3. In this Part, Dr Nikos Mardas demonstrates the technique of flap design and GBR techniques which are very useful for all implant placements. This video is beneficial for all practitioners placing implants.
Part 4. Immediate provisionalisation
In Part 4 Dr Claudia Wellman provides excellent tips on a practical demonstration about how to get optimal provisional restorations for your implants in the aesthetic zone. Optimal provisional restorations result in excellent soft tissue and emergence profiles, and the lessons learnt in this video will be of maximum benefit to all practitioners placing implants in the aesthetic zone
