Safeguarding Level 1 - Introduction or Induction
In general, a Level 1, Introduction or Induction to safeguarding training should entail how to recognise the signs of abuse, respond to a disclosure, report your concerns, and record information.
Safeguarding Level 2 - Advanced Safeguarding
A Level 2 or Advanced Safeguarding course covers all of the above and goes into more detail into the procedures of safeguarding, scenarios and what happens after a referral. ‘
Advanced or Level 2 safeguarding training will have more material, as it is devised for someone who has day to day, or frequent, contact with children or vulnerable people.
To qualify for Level 2, participants will also be asked to complete the playlist on safeguarding level 2 for children which covers the types of child maltreatment and related legislation.
