Aims and objectives:

• Gain an overview of diagnosing and management of cracks in teeth
• Gain an overview of the definition of cracks, craze lines, cracked cusps, and root fractures to differentiate from cracked teeth
• Gain an overview of the aetiology of cracked teeth particularly focusing on the wedge effect
• Gaining an understanding of the cracked teeth syndrome
• Gaining knowledge of the signs and symptoms of cracked teeth
• Knowing the clinical tests and investigations to do to help in the diagnosis of cracks
• Knowing the role of radiographs, and radiographic findings indicative of cracked teeth
• Gaining an idea of how to determine prognosis
• Gaining tips on the management of cracked teeth and possible treatment modalities
