Description
This is part 2 of the Endodontic Series. Cracked teeth in the pandemic.
Aims and objectives:
- Gain an overview of diagnosing and management of cracks in teeth
- Gain an overview of the definition of cracks, craze lines, cracked cusps, and root fractures to differentiate from cracked teeth
- Gain an overview of the aetiology of cracked teeth particularly focusing on the wedge effect
- Gaining an understanding of the cracked teeth syndrome
- Gaining knowledge of the signs and symptoms of cracked teeth
- Knowing the clinical tests and investigations to do to help in the diagnosis of cracks
- Knowing the role of radiographs, and radiographic findings indicative of cracked teeth
- Gaining an idea of how to determine prognosis
- Gaining tips on the management of cracked teeth and possible treatment modalities
